An idea for the weekend – a tour of the Sancerre locality.

A weekend will be enough to expose you to the delights of the unaltered Loire scenery… and Sancerre’s gastronomic specialties (wine and goat’s cheese). A tempting offer is currently backed by Berry Tourist Office.

An original site, second to none

When you "do" the Euro Bike 6 circuit (EuroVélo 6), you will cycle past numerous Mediaeval castles. To enable better understanding of the way castles were built, it is worthwhile doing a detour through Guédelon in Burgundy where one is being painstakingly built using the methods of the Middle Ages.

To make it easier for cyclists to travel around Europe, the European Economic and Social Committee has published a small lexicon in pocket format.

The majority of EuroVelo 6 is currently operational and ready for use,
although some sections are still to be completed. Provisional routes
have been set up to by-pass these sections. More details about these
sections, together with practical information for preparing your trip
