Itinerary

On leaving Montceau-les-mines, we follow the road along the banks of the Canal du Centre. Beyond Montchanin, the road moves away from the banks of the canal for around fifteen miles to branch off to Saint-Léger-sur-Dheune. The path then returns to the canal bank until Chalon, through Chagny and Santenay. This is a great opportunity to stop for a drink of the area's famous wine!
